Greg’s Story:
I’ve struggled with my weight and emotional eating since I was a child. My weight gain was rampant in high school when I finally had “food freedom” and was a frequent member of any drive-through with crispy fries. This was mainly due to an unhealthy relationship with food and a life of working retail.
My weight skyrocketed to 323lbs through my teens and early twenties until I no longer felt like myself and needed to do something about it. I went on a crash diet where I didn’t eat any substantial carbs for over a year and lost over 110lbs. But didn’t feel better, I just looked better.
Little did I know the weight wouldn’t stay off, especially during COVID and starting mental health medication known for causing over eating. During COVID and the following year, I gained back 80lbs due to a poor diet, a still poor relationship with food, and little movement. After the year, I returned to my health journey, repairing my relationship with food, exercising, and trying to get myself back on track.
